The performance that comes with the Kia K5 is all about the trim level you decide you want. One of the engine options is the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that is turbocharged. This engine also has 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. This engine is also paired well with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There is also a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is turbocharged and has 290 horsepower. This engine has up to 311 pound-feet of torque. There is also driver mode select and all-wheel drive available on some trim levels, which is great for advanced handling.

Technology

The tech packages you'll find in the K5 trim levels will include Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, so you can easily sync information from your smartphone to your car. There is also Bluetooth®, so you can safely make calls as you drive. The SiriusXM® radio is wonderful when commuting. If you want a great audio system to listen to as you drive around State College, the K5 has trim levels that come with the Bose® premium audio system with 12 speakers.

The safety features that come with the Kia K5 include forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection. There is also a driver attention warning with leading vehicle departure alert. Lane keeping and lane following assist are great features for driving at higher speed. Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist is a feature that is wonderful if you are driving in a lot of traffic.

Interior Design

The interior of the Kia K5 offers a 4.2-inch instrument display and an 8.0-inch touchscreen. Some trim levels will have a 10.25-inchtouchscreen with navigation. The interior also has a front center console with a USB charging port and charging ports in the second row. You'll find a great wireless charging pad for your smartphone.

There are five trim levels to choose from on the Kia K5, and you can apply for financing online to get a fantastic deal on any of them.

     
  • The LXS FWD has illuminated door handles, heated and power adjustable side mirrors and a center arm rest for the back seat. There is also a rear occupant alert safety feature for this car.

  • The GT-Line FWD has all-season tires and drive mode select. There is also a 10-way power driver's seat with a two-way power lumbar adjustment. This trim level also offers dual-zone auto climate control and a smart key with push button start and remote start.

  • The GT-Line AWD has a 10.25-inch touchscreen and voice recognition. There is also a six-speaker audio system. There are heated front seats for the GT-Line all-wheel drive, which are great for getting going when the mornings are cold.

  • The Kia K5 EX has auto headlight control and high beam assist. There are also LED daytime running lights. This trim level also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. There are ventilated front seats in the K5 EX. The interior looks updated with the leather-wrapped steering wheel and interior accent trim in wood.

  • The GT trim level for the Kia K5 has 19-inch wheels and a front 12-volt power port. There is also SynTex seat trim for the GT. This sporty trim level also has GT Sport bolster front seats and a GT leather-wrapped flat-bottom sport steering wheel. This trim level also has optional parking assist features, which are great if you regularly run errands in the city or park in tight parking spots.
