The 2024 Kia Sorento is ready for any challenge, whether it’s a daily commute, family road trip, or outdoor adventure. It offers comfortable and refined seating for up to 7 passengers and a long list of driver assistance and convenient technology features. And with a choice of two powerful engines and eight well-equipped trim levels, it’s easy to find a Sorento designed for you and your family.

Sorento Basics

The Sorento’s roomy cabin seats 7 passengers with standard second-row bench seating, or 6 passengers with available second-row captain’s chairs. Convenient buttons slide or fold the second-row seats with a touch, making it easy to access the third row or create up to 75.5 cu. ft. of cargo space. And sensitive items can be kept out of sight with added storage under the cargo floor.

The Sorento offers two available engines, starting with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 191 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. EX and higher trims come with a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine for 281 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and include Drive Mode Select with Comfort, Eco, Sport, Smart, and available Snow modes for custom driving dynamics. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available or standard on several trims.

What’s New for 2024

The Sorento’s exterior is refreshed this year, including new, stylish wheel designs, and the infotainment system gets an update as well. There’s a new trim level available for 2024, the off-road-ready X-Pro SX Prestige AWD. On this model, you’ll find X-Line styling, high-utility roof rails, and all-wheel drive with an increased 8.2-inch ground clearance. The X-Pro also includes all-terrain tires and an increased towing capacity of 4,500 lbs. Premium features include Bose audio and a panoramic sunroof.

Driver Assistance

Drive Wise technologies are Kia’s advanced safety and driver assistance systems, and the Sorento comes standard with 11 of them. Several more are available on higher trim levels. Standard features include Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, which uses sensors in the rear bumper to detect vehicles approaching from either side while you’re backing up. This system issues warnings and can brake automatically if the driver doesn’t respond.

Connected Tech

It’s easy to stay connected in the Sorento with standard features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which connect your smartphone to a stunning 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Together with vehicle information and audio features, this screen displays your phone’s apps, like messaging, maps, music, and more. And your Sorento includes Over-the-Air System Updates to automatically get the latest vehicle software as soon as an update is available.
